Fargo’s fifth generation of HDP printers combines the best reverse transfer card features with an optional 600 dpi print head. The new Fargo HDP5600 prints high definition cards with unmatched image quality, especially with the new optional 600 dpi print head. Rather than printing directly onto the surface of a card, a reverse transfer printer prints the image first on a specialized clear film. The film is then fused to the card’s surface, which not only gives you a sharp and vivid appearance, but provides a layer of protection from wear and tear and card tampering.

This also makes the HDP5600 ideal for printing on cards with uneven surfaces because the print head doesn’t directly touch the card, including smart cards.
